Tal Y Waun is a 300-year-old stone country cottage sitting high above the Ogwen Valley on the side of the Carneddau mountains in Eryri (Snowdonia National Park). The views towards Tryfan and across the valley are exceptional. Original features throughout include exposed beams, slate and flagstone flooring and an exposed stone fireplace with a wood burner. No hot tub here but the fire pit, charcoal BBQ and enclosed patio garden more than compensate.
Capel Curig is a couple of minutes away on foot or by bike. Betws-y-Coed is 8. 5 miles away with independent shops, cafes and pubs. Mountains, rivers, gorges and forests are right on the doorstep.

Zip World Betws-y-Coed (6.5 miles) has the UK's only alpine coaster. Llanberis and the Snowdon Mountain Railway are around 14 miles away. Plas y Brenin National Outdoor Centre is minutes from the door.

The nearest railway station is Betws-y-Coed, approximately 8.5 miles from the property on the Conwy Valley Line. From there a taxi or local bus will get you to Capel Curig in around 15 minutes.
