Gwel Enlli Reviews

Mark
Excellent property. Very clean and well equipped. Felt very safe during some of the worst rain and wind weâ??ve ever experienced. The hosts were very welcoming and their welcome pack was much appreciated. Especially the fresh eggs. Location of property is excellent and plenty places to visit within easy reach. Would recommend Whistling Sands beach,Traeth Penllech beach and Traeth Porth Ceiriad beach for dog walking and coastal walks. Would recommend the bakery and fish and chip shop in Aberdaron. The cafe within walking distance of the property is also worth a visit especially for ice cream. The prices were very reasonable too. The view and sunset from the coastguard station at the top of Mynydd Mawr was very good too with its free car park at the top. The view of the night sky on clear nights is also excellent. Definitely would love to go back soon.
Andrea
When we arrived we were greeted by the owner who was really lovely and even left some treats for us which we thought was very kind. The cottage its self was spotlessly clean and very nicely decorated. We loved the views from where we were and especially enjoyed having coffee looking out of the picture windows. The cottage is very well equipped with everything you need for a week self catering. The location is very close to Aberdaron village (by car) which is a lovely day out and is also not too far from Abersoch, Neffin and Llanbedrog. We had a great stay and would love to come back again.
Teresa
Fantastic place - really clean and well equipped (even had cake forks!). Great location - the views are superb in every direction - the photos don't do it justice. I couldn't think of a better place to celebrate my birthday.
Mark
Fabulous thank you
Catherine
Gwel Enlli is a wonderful place to stay. A quiet location with views all around. Great outdoor space with picnic tables. The cottage was spotlessly clean and very well equipped.
Rob
The location of this property is brilliant. Panoramic views all round. Well equipped, the porch area is a complete sun trap! Good local walks, but, is a two mile walk to the village, only accessible by road. I would wholeheartedly recommend this place, spotlessly clean on arrival, owners easily contactable. But, be warned, the garden is NOT enclosed. You can enclose it, but youâ??d have to close the entrance gate, (used by another property), and their gate as well. However, donâ??t let this distract you, had an absolutely perfect holiday here.

Just has a few days at Gwel Enlli, had the best time the cottage is Beautiful, very well equipped, warm and cosy we loved the picture windows having coffees watching the sun rise was amazing, the views are stunning and only a couple of miles from a very pretty village of Aberdaron with a lovely beach. The Best Bakery and great pub food and fab cafes. Already booked our returns cannot wait. The owners were there to meet us and show us round which was so nice and were very helpful on information on local places to visit.
Janet
This property is excellent, it is very clean and well maintained. Fantastic views and location. Owners, Mr and Mrs Jones were very friendly. We would highly recommend to people that respect the rural outdoors.
Sue
The cottage was really lovely. Amazing location, very well equipped and comfortable, and spotlessly clean.
Pete
Lovely modern well equipped and very clean cottage ideally located for Aberdaron and the surrounding areas, simply stunning 360 degree views of the Peninsula. Very large garden area ideal for dogs but would suggest taking a long lead because it is not completely fenced in. Difficult to find any fault with the cottage apart from one slight negative which is the early check out time of 9.30am. They appear to be quite strict on this and a little bit of flexibility would have been useful.
Andrea
The location of the cottage is breathtaking, loved the fact that you can sit and look at the sunning views. The kitchen was very well equipped. Beds were comfortable. The kids loved the outdoor space as well as the sheep in the next field. Cottage is close to lots of walks and the beach is a short drive away. We would recommend Whistling Sands beach, it was absolutely beautiful. Aberdaren is a lovely place with local conveniences and a beach. Well worth a stay on this wonderful place.
Joy
Comfortable, well equipped, clean perfect holiday home
Annette
Clean and spacious plenty of room for the two of us and our large dog. The garden is not fully enclosed so dogs need to be supervised at all times. Fully equipped with everything we needed. There is a great cafe 6 min walk past the accommodation....highly recommend the breakfast. Very narrow lanes leading to the property. Aberdaron is about a mile and half away with a dog friendly beach. Great views of the Irish sea on 3 sides...sea fog permitting.
Christine
One of the nicest places we have visited. Cottage is modern and scrupulously clean, very well looked after. The surrounding beaches are amazing and the views outside the cottage truly amazing. I would recommend this to anyone, the large garden area was a bonus for our cockapoo and he made friends with the sheep which were behind the fence. We will definitely return later on in the year!
