Tyddyn Llafar Cottage is a one-bedroom stone cottage sitting in a secluded elevated position above Bala Lake in Llangower, southern Eryri (Snowdonia). Almost every window frames uninterrupted views over Llyn Tegid and the Arenig mountains. The rustic stone exterior gives way to a contemporary interior with exposed stonework and a wood burner.

This is proper countryside. Sheep are your nearest neighbours. Footpaths and cycle routes start directly from the door. Llangower lakeside is just 0.5 miles away for paddleboarding, wild swimming and fishing. The Bala Lake Railway station at Llangower is less than a mile from the cottage.

The open-plan lounge, kitchen and diner has a wall of picture windows pulling in panoramic lake and mountain views. Upstairs, the double bedroom has a sloping ceiling and Velux window. The ground floor bathroom has a shower over bath. The kitchen includes a dishwasher, slow cooker, microwave and washing machine.

Bala town is a short drive away. The enclosed garden has a patio, charcoal BBQ and fire pit with clear dark skies for stargazing. Sailing and fishing on Llyn Tegid are minutes away. Lake Vyrnwy is 15 miles out.
