Beudy Bodowen Reviews

Claire

Jo
What a place! Outstanding location and property. Everything you need and more. We can't wait to return!! Thank you
Joyce
Beudy Bodowen was such a good choice for our autumn break. We wanted somewhere that was quiet but near enough to a town for shopping and restaurants and a cottage that offered nearby opportunities for exploring. We got all of that and so much more. Not only is Beudy Bodowen stylish and easy on the eye it is uncluttered and practical. The kitchen is well equipped with lots of crockery and cutlery. Thereâ??s plenty of pans and trays for cooking and lots of fridge and freezer space. Thereâ??s plenty of seating and a lovely big table. You can step out on to the terrace which feels more like an outdoor room than just a paved area. The sitting room is a comfortable social space, the bedrooms have comfy beds, plenty of storage and bathrooms with good showers and a bath. And everything is clean. Thank you Bethan and William for creating such a truly memorable holiday home. We had a lovely time.
Lee
The house is lovely, very clean and warm. Great location too with relaxing views. It was really easy to find and plenty of room for parking a few cars. The EV Charger was a real bonus with a good charging speed. The house is very comfortable, with all bedrooms having an en suit. Thereâ??s also a small wet room downstairs just off the utility which was an added bonus for our disabled daughter. The house is also an excellent base for visiting other parts of Wales, we loved it and would highly recommend this house, itâ??s a great all rounder, and the kind owners are very accommodating. Weâ??ve stayed in quite a few properties in Wales but this is one of our favourites.
Victoria
Beautiful cottage in gorgeous position. Excellent to have 3 en-suites and lots of space within the cottage to accommodate everyone. Amazing views from every room - loved seeing the cows and sheep every day. Also lots of swifts and a buzzard one day. Plenty of lovely places to visit in the surrounding area; we enjoyed walks, visiting towns and historic places aswell as playing crazy golf in Tywyn. Loved the narrow guage railway museum in Tywyn aswell - lovely cafe there too. Co-op in Tywyn handy for food shopping. Great to have EV charger - made our holiday very relaxing. We had a fantastic holiday in spite of numerous rain showers. Cottage was well stocked and immaculately clean and was a pleasure to return to in the evening to light the woodburner and enjoy the perfect peace and quiet. Would love to return.
Patricia
This is a stunning cottage and the views are amazing. The roads in be a bit tight if you have a big car. You are a fair bit away from shops and so a bit of forward planning is a good idea .Its a great place to go to to recharge and have a restful holiday. There is lots to do around and definitely suggest you train the train from Tywyn it was brilliant and the people are so lovely. Aberystwyth is definitely worth a visit lots of lovely shops and café to visit. Make sure you visit the war memorial on the hill the views are amazing. There are lots of lovely beaches if you have children and plenty of docks where you can go crabbing.
Ruth

Jess
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Beudy Bodowen. The property and location exceeded our expectations, offering everything we needed for a perfect holiday. The stunning countryside views were breathtaking, and the private, quiet setting provided a peaceful retreat. We loved being so close to the sheep, cows, a beautiful hare, and many birds. The beach at Aberdyfi was also just a short drive away, which was fantastic. The open-plan layout was perfect for family meals, and the lovely bathrooms added a touch of luxury. Everything felt very homely, clean, and comfortable. We are so grateful for such a lovely holiday and will definitely be returning!
Graham
Luxurious cottage with great views and walks from the door. Surrounded by beautiful countryside, would happily revisit.
Natalie
A beautiful, well-maintained house. Although it's on the street, it's still quiet and safe. There is plenty of space for three adults and a lovely three-year-old. We can recommend it with a clear conscience. We would have liked to stay longer. We will really miss the sheep, cows, and rabbits.
Wolfgang
Incredibly friendly owners. A beautiful converted barn. Superbly renovated, beautifully furnished, with three lovely bathrooms, one with a bathtub. Very quiet location. Surrounded by sheep. Excellent location for excursions, hikes, etc.
Julia
This is a lovely house in a beautiful setting. Itâ??s very comfortable with plenty of space for us to spread out- lots of nice places to sit. The views are stunning and thereâ??s plenty to do nearby. The beds were super comfortable and we slept really well. Bethan was very kind and let us stay longer on our check out day. There were plenty of logs and kindling for the fire which was great for the fire. Overall we had a great week and we would definitely recommend the cottage. Thank you Bethan!
Helen
A wonderfully cosy and welcoming home from home. Had everything we needed and more. Highly recommend this property.
Val
A lovely barn conversion with 3 en-suites in a lovely peaceful location but close to nice areas for a drive out. Nice area to sit outside with just the sheep and cows for company and far reaching countryside views. A couple of nice walks from across the road. 15 minute drive to the lovely Aberdovey. Recommend catching the train from Tywyn to Barmouth - ask to get off just before the estuary bridge so you can walk across it into Barmouth.
Pia Therese
We had a nice stay in a beautiful cottage. And the views were absolutely stunning. So tranquil.
Michael
Great barn conversion retaining original features in a great location surrounded by mountains. Plenty to see and do in the area
Ann

David
Beautiful renovation, finished to a very high standard. Very comfortable, well equipped and spotlessly clean. Lovely quiet location, with stunning views over open countryside. A generous welcome pack. EV charger helpful in this part of the country.
Wolfgang
A beautifully converted barn, very tastefully and lovingly furnished. GREAT location. We felt at home and will definitely come back.We didn't miss anything. Unfortunately, the week went by far too quickly. Very nice hosts
David
Lovely modern & comfortable barn conversion , immaculately clean and very well equipped , very quiet even though itâ??s next to an â??Aâ?? road . Always a joy to return to at the end of the day.
John
Great attention to detail. Spotlessly clean and a testimony to the owners.
Michael
Lovely, warm, well equipped and very clean cottage. Good communication from the owners. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Adrian
The owner has taken great pride in presentation and even goes the extra mile to make sure guests are well catered for, even including a basket of welsh produce with the essentials after arrival (tea, milk and eggs). We really could not fault the house in any way and it was perfect for our group of six. The communal areas are spacious, yet cosy. Noise is non-existent other than a bit of wind and a few sheep in the neigbouring field :-) . We enjoyed our stay immensely.
