
Ffridd Gymen is a four-bedroom period stone house set in private grounds above Bala in North Wales. Every room has far-reaching countryside views towards Bala Lake the largest natural lake in Wales. Access is via a steep farm track and ford which sets the tone immediately. This is a proper off-grid escape.
The setting is genuinely special. Mountain paths lead directly from the grounds and Bala Lake is a short walk away. Watch red kites and buzzards overhead. On clear nights the skies are free of light pollution perfect for stargazing. The fire pit and charcoal pizza oven make evenings outdoors something to look forward to.

The house sleeps 8 across four bedrooms. There's a king-size with en-suite shower room, a second king-size, a twin room and a children's bunk room (note: restricted headroom on the top bunk). Three bathrooms include a family bathroom with bath and a ground floor shower room.
Rafting at the National White Water Centre is 3 miles away. Zip World Slate Caverns in Blaenau Ffestiniog is 15 miles. The Bala Lake Railway runs vintage steam trains nearby. Bala town centre with cafes and pubs is just 2.5 miles.
Ffridd Gymen suits active families or groups who want space, views and real outdoor access. The electric Aga, wood burner and farmhouse kitchen make it just as good when the weather turns.
