The former quarrying village sits on a dramatic coastline with direct access to a magical private beach. The cottages have been very sympathetically converted and are simple, comfortable and warm. If you want peace and quiet, with marvellous views, this is the place for you. It even has a lovely little cafe onsite, whose staff were very friendly. However, the descent to the beach may be challenging for people with reduced mobility and I found the descent/ascent to and from the site daunting - mostly because I was driving a rather elderly car and don't have a head for heights!

The cottage was quite spacious and clean with almost everything you need. There is no television and the phone signal is non-existent, but wi-fi is available, so you can still keep in touch using messaging apps. There was no hair dryer and no bath, only showers. The views and location are exceptional and the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful.

We loved staying at Nant-Llandaf. The cottage was clean and lovely. The beds comfy and the complimentary soaps a real treat. The setting was peaceful, with plenty of outdoor space for our children to play, and the general feel was very calm and relaxed.

A reasonably well appointed, comfortable cottage, sympathetically restored and converted from the ruins of the 1960/70s. In a unique setting twixt sky and sea that will excite the mind of anyone interested in social/industrial history.
