Becws Clyd Reviews

Anouk
We had a wonderful week. The cottage is fully equipped. The heating quickly warms the house up after a long walk. There's a comfortable sofa, TV (with internet), Wi-Fi (a bit slow at times), oven, microwave, dishwasher, hob, towels, dishwasher tablets, soap, salt, pepper, sugar, pans, microwave-safe containers, sharp knives, and plenty of other kitchenware. Be sure to bring an adapter as UK plugs are different from those in other countries. The owner, Iona, is a very friendly woman who is always available if you need anything or have any questions. She lives next to Becws Clyd but respects your privacy. There's plenty of space to park your car next to the house. Be careful when driving away, as the road in front is often busy with cars and the occasional bus. We weren't bothered by traffic. North Wales is so beautiful! In between all the showers we made many beautiful walks in dry weather and sunshine. This was our second visit and we'd love to return if we ever visit Wales again.

Lovely location, very cosy warm homely.. would definetly recomend, and would come back again.
Sanjay
It was from home to home. It felt comfortable and cosy, which goes long way, when been travelling for hours.
David
Cottage was in a great position for exploring the surrounding area. The cottage was very clean. it was well equipped and very comfortable. The cottage is close to a fairly busy A road although during the night it was very quiet and did not disturb us.
Angela
We had a fabulous weekend despite the stormy weather. The cottage is inviting, it is warm and comfortable. Lovely bathroom with double shower and soft fluffy towels & plenty of them. We stay in lots of cottages for long weekends and this one is now in our top 5 for stays. The kitchen is very well equipped for all kinds of cooking. Loved the reclining sofa, bed was really comfortable and bedroom decor lovely. Was really pleased to find a home made chocolate cake waiting for us on arrival, it was delicious. Owner was very welcoming but not intrusive of our weekend, rang us on the Friday as we arrived to check we were ok with everything and then called around on Saturday to make sure we had settled in ok and if we needed anything. Would recommend this place to stay if you want a quiet get away for a weekend, as the weather was so bad with storm Amy we didnt venture far so cannot comment on what there is to do locally, we just hunkered down and enjoyed the relax time!
Judith
A beautifully appointed warm and cosy cottage. Ideal base for exploring the area. Iona friendly and welcoming but not intrusive. Would not hesitate to revisit.

Simply the best cottage weâ??ve stayed in. Couldnâ??t want for anythingâ?¦comfort, cleanliness, warmth,,,,TV and WiFi was excellent. Kitchen equipment was plentiful and catered for everything you could want to use. Although near to road there was little traffic, parking at side of house with shed to use (suitcases etc!). Good shop and pharmacy 2mins walk away. Bed was sooo comfyâ?¦â?¦shower was top notch! Heating was easy to control too. Iona ..the owner who lives next doorâ?¦was such a lovely lady, always on hand to help out if needed. In factâ?¦the perfect holiday cottage! Already booked again for next year.

We really enjoyed staying here, it was a bit of a trip down memory lane for us - having had a house in the village 50 yrs ago. The cottage is very nicely renovated and extremely well appointed, furniture and appliances are all high quality and everything needed is present. We'll happily return in the future

We stayed between May 31st and June 7th. The cottage is beautiful, comfy and cosy. Iona is an amazingly talented cook, we had a beautiful chocolate sponge waiting for us when we arrived. I only wish I'd taken a photograph of it before we cut into it. I couldn't recommend this little cottage any higher, it's absolutely perfect for a couple. We will be coming back.

The cottage is absolutely fantastic with large bathroom with large shower cubicle .The Bedroom is more than adequate with plenty of storage. The lounge and kitchen area is a good size with TV and a very comfortable recliner two seater settee. Parking no problem along side of property. The whole property internally and externally is absolutely beautiful and finally the host is a lovely friendly lady who will make you welcome

Wow, wow, wow what a lovely little cottage. This place was more than we thought it would be. As you walk into the place, it smells so clean and fresh. At this point we met the owner, Iona, what a lovely lady. There was a chocolate sponge on the table waiting for us in a cake tin OMG!! it was gorgeous so needless to say it didn't last long

Lovely place to stay we really enjoyed ourselves. The cottage was well equipped, comfortable and cosy. Iona the owner is the perfect host, we couldnâ??t have asked for a better place to stay. Ideal area as there is something to do and see everyday, we even got on Black Rock beach for the day, also great eating places, we especially loved the food at the Grapes Hotel and enjoyed a day out on the Ffestiniog railway, all in all a fab holiday and the weather was very kind to us so even better.
Jean
A warm cosy little cottage in a lovely area of Wales with lots of interesting places and a couple of very good pubs within easy reach. The owners live next door and will go out of the way to ensure you have a first rate stay. The chocolate cake on arrival was very welcome with our first cup of tea. All in all a first rate short stay.
Chris
By far the best holiday cottage we have stayed at. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable and every possible need catered for. Iona was very helpful when we had a few initial problems with our WiFi and also in recommending a very good restaurant not far away, the Grapes in Maentrog. The cottage is ideally situated for exploring this beautiful part of Wales and such good road links. Last but not least the delicious chocolate cake that Iona baked for us. Thank you both very much. We will certainly recommend you to our relatives and friends and will probably come back ourselves in the not too distant future.
Samuel
Lovely cottage in a great location for exploring north Wales. It's a clean, comfortable and cosy cottage with a well equipped kitchen. Even though it is just off an A road, it feels very quiet. We spent a lot of the days out and about so didnt spend much time in the cottage but was great for what we needed. Would happily recommend this property and return in future.
Paul
First time at this beautiful, quaint cottage. Everything and more was available, very cosy, warm cottage and the chocolate cake on arrival was delicious. The home owners were the perfect hosts a lovely warm welcome and plenty of information for eating. We will definitely be returning
